Example:

If you had 5 days of unpaid holiday,

Ø  Past You had to roll them over to the next year.

E-mail to Hooper

Subject: REQ: Your Reactions to Final Recommendation

Dear Mr. Hooper,

Through Ward Associates study and discussions with colleagues, I’d like to recommend these changes to improve Hooper Inc., communication.

1. Key accounts should be covered by a group of two people to share the clients’ needs and to treat
    them more cordially.

2. The trading condition of key customers have to be orally reported to the Board of Directors once a
month (Any paper work will not be required.)
3. Create a transmission procedure for quick notification about product complaints so that we don’t
    lose our clients and reputation.

Please let me know that you have received this message and that you will give careful thought to these recommendations so that we can discuss them at our next management meeting.

Best Regards,

Betty Friedman,
Communications Director

Self-Introduction

I am Kuniaki Honda from Tokyo, Japan. I enrolled in Cal State Fullerton to improve my English ability. I work for Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd as an investment banker. My role is to build reliable relationships with our clients, most of them are listed companies in the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and I advise them on raising finance and M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions). My future goal is to make a big international deal with my clients.

Let me explain about my off time. I am 38 years old, and I am married. I have two children: a five-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy. I enjoy going to nearby parks with my children on weekends. My daughter is absorbed in riding on her orange bike and my son likes going up and down a spiral slide. Sometimes I go camping in mountains with my friends. I love nature. Seeing it soothes me. I know California offers many areas to go camping. I would like to visit some national parks.
